MARK DeVINE Silverwood

Mark DeVine of Silverwood, age 48, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Mark was born December 28, 1965 in Cass City, the son of Thomas and Dorothy (Myers) DeVine. He was united in marriage with Kristen Gilkey on July 1, 1995 in Caro, and she survives him.  Mark was the owner and operator of M.A.D. Auto in downtown Caro since 2000.  A constant family man, Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, drag racing, working on old vehicles, and shared his love for these things with his sons. His legacy of hard work and honesty will survive with his children. Left to cherish Mark’s memory are his wife, Kristen DeVine of Silverwood; two sons, Nathan and Tyler DeVine, both at home; his parents, Thomas and Dorothy DeVine of Caro; three siblings and their spouses, Thomas, Jr. (Christine) DeVine of Caro, Debra (Keith) Burns of Caro, Lisa (Ryan) Boulton of Flushing; and many nieces and nephews.  The family will be present for a time of gathering at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the DeVine Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Kristen DeVine, 205 W. Clifford D. Adlam, Unionville

Clifford D. Adlam, age 80, of Unionville, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home.  He was born February 5, 1934 in Unionville to the late Milton and Marie (Kruse) Adlam. He served in the U.S Army spending 2 years in the Korean Conflict. He married Carolyn Winarski on August 15, 1953 at the Moravian Church in Unionville.  Cliff was a volunteer fireman in Unionville for 28 years. He was self-employed working 27 years with Milton Adlam Speedway and 32+ years for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Unionville American Legion Post #421 and St. Paul Lutheran Church. Cliff enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, going to casinos, and spending winters in Florida. He enjoyed family times at their cabin up north, camping, playing for 50+ years in a local card club and spending time with his grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children: Michael Adlam, DeAnn DeLisle and Shelly (Donald) Sakon; grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Mast, Greg (Celeste) DeLisle, Nicholas (Heather) Sakon, Matthew (fiancé Hayley Putnam) Sakon, Brooks Adlam and Matthew Adlam, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Janet) Adlam, sisters-in-law: Dee (Bob) Bohn and Shirley (Roland) Houthoofd; and loving nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Theron (Joyce) Adlam.  Visitation was Friday, July 18, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home from 2-8pm.  The funeral service will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville. ANNETTE SMITH, Caro

Annette Smith of Caro, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw with her family at her side.  Annette Viola was born May 27, 1944 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Ford) Viola.  She graduated from Wayne St. Mary’s High School, and then received her Associates Degree from Henry Ford Community College.  Annette worked as a medical transcriptionist at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, as well as from her home.  She was also a professional photographer and worked for Edwards Wedding Photography.  Annette moved from Dearborn Heights to Caro in 1999.   She had many interests, and was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, The Prayer Shawl and Christian Services Committee.  She also volunteered on the funeral meal committee and administered communion to patients.  Annette’s love for animals included “Paws for Cause” as well as raising and caring for animals.  She enjoyed a variety of crafts.  Annette is survived by her two children and their father; Donald (Jennifer) Smith of Lake Orion, Carol Smith of Ferndale, and Owen Smith of Henderson, Nevada; a granddaughter, Kiley Smith at home; her siblings, Pat (Pete) Gregor of Caro and Tom (Janet) Viola of Hurst, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.  In accordance with Annettes’ wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice. CHESTER T. DINSMORE, Wisner Township, Michigan

Chester T. “Chet” Dinsmore, age 67 years, died Sunday, July 20, 2014 in McLaren Bay Region.  He was born to Chester and Cleo (Ryers) Dinsmore on October 27, 1946 in Bay City.  Chet honorably served our country in the U. S. Army during the time of the Vietnam War.  Before his retirement, he was employed with G.M.’s Grey Iron Foundry for 45 years.  Chet was a member of In His Presence Ministries and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. On November 6, 1965, he was united in marriage to Gloria J. Obertein and they shared their lives together for over 48 years.  Gloria survives him, along with two daughters, Amy (George) Giustiniani and Lisa (Derek) Short; three grandchildren, Audrey and Willem Short, and Andrew Hart; two brothers and two sisters, Richard (Patricia) Dinsmore, Randy (Diana) Dinsmore, Mardeen Garza, and Kaye (Patrick) Schultz; his in-laws, Warren (Cindy) Myrick, Wayne (Carol) Obertein, and Pam Hunter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Andrew Dinsmore and a sister, Sandra Kay Dinsmore. A celebration of Chet’s life will all take place at In His Presence Ministries, 4521 Monitor Road, Bay City.  Visiting hours at the church will be Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, and Friday, July 25, 2014 after 10:00 AM, with funeral services following at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Michael Baranek will officiate and interment will be at 2:30 PM in Gilford Township Cemetery, Tuscola County.  Memorial contributions may be directed to S.O.S. Aldine E. Kline, Reese

Aldine E. Kline, age 77, went to be with his Savior on July 24, 2014 at his home. He was born November 1, 1936 to Raymond and Gladys Kline in St. Paul, Minnesota. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Lorna (Bernthal) and their sons, Michael (Eileen) from Tinley Park, Illinois, Douglas (Linda) from Caro and David (Jane) from Selmer, Tennessee and grandchildren, Patrick, Shannon and Meghan from Tinley Park and Pamela, Jonathan, Jubilee and Noelle from Selmer. Aldine and Lorna were married December 23, 1961 at Gethesame Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is survived by his brother Jerome (Marlene) from Red Wing, Minnesota and sister Patricia (Lyle) Boyd. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles and a sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Ron Wold and his parents. Aldine graduated from the U of MN, agriculture program. His first farm was in Jordan, MN before moving to Reese to the Bernthal farm. He was a journeyman grinder at several shops. At age 50, Aldine and Lorna joined the Peace Corps and were stationed in Nepal for 2 years. They also enjoyed square dancing and camping. Aldine was an elder and served on other church boards at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He went on servant event trips to Ysletta, Mexico, New Orleans Katrina clean-up, and West Virginia with St. Paul Youth Group, and was also involved at St. Paul’s servant events and other church committees. Aldine was a veteran of the Armed Forces. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Cameron Steele will officiate. The family will receive visitors at St. Paul Lutheran Church before the church service. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Hour, or to the donor’s choice. RAMONA ETHEL THANE, Caro

Ramona went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Timberline AFC Home in Caro. She was 85 years old.  Ramona was born January 2, 1929 in Madison, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Elton Henry & Frances (Hankla) Schmitt. She was united in marriage with Harold Archie Thane on February 14, 1971 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  Following their marriage, they came to Caro to live.  He preceded her in death on May 10, 1997.  Before coming to Caro, Ramona received her BA degree from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska in 1963 and taught school in Sidney, Nebraska for fourteen years. Ramona was very musical and played the piano and sang in many groups throughout her life, including a trio in high school, and for her church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  After moving to Caro, she was a substitute teacher in Tuscola County for twenty years and earned her state teaching certificate at Saginaw Valley State University.   Ramona was a member of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel and volunteered in classrooms for Caro Schools. Ramona was a member of the Sutton-Sunshine United Methodist Church for many years, where she taught Sunday School, was the church pianist for several years and sang in the church choir.  She later became a member of the Caro Nazarene Church.  Ramona is survived by one sister, Alta E. (Keith) Kumm of Holyoke, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Loretta Thane of Cass City and Florence Thane of Sebewaing; nephew, Daryl (Rosona) Schmitt of Duncan, Oklahoma. She is also survived by step-children, Lois (Lonis) Livingston, Kay Thane, Alice & Edward Slater, Jean & Gary McPherron, Elaine & Fred Bardwell; and many step-grandchildren, -great-grandchildren and           -nieces and -nephews. In addition to her husband, Harold, Ramona was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn; Harold’s two brothers, Willis and Garth; sisters Edwina, Gladys, Catherine; sisters-in-law, Cleta Schmitt and Maxine Bell; step-sons Floyd, Leonard Thane and Norbert Fader; and step-daughter, Marilyn Fader.  Ramona was loved by all.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Paul McNett officiating.  Burial will follow at the Almer Township Cemetery. Carlos Huizar, Vassar

Carlos Huizar, age 59, of Vassar died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Hospital in Saginaw.  Carlos was born January 13, 1955 in Akron Township., the son of the late Trinidad and Carmen Huizar.  He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and enjoyed coin collecting, riding his bike, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.  Carlos is survived by his daughter Jodie (Steve) Wineman, siblings: Ernie (Joan Ann) Huizar, Rudy (Paulette) Huizar, Trini King (Butch) Stedry, Chuck (Karen) Huizar, and granddaughters Cheyenne and Sierra Wineman,  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and Fiancé Tammy Steiner.   He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Maggie.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery.  Chaplain Perry Parker officiating.  Memorials in memory of Carlos may be made to the family.   Share memories and condolences online with the family at www.jansenfuneralhome.com

SHARRON TEDFORD, Mayville

Sharron I. Tedford, age 69, of rural Mayville passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. She was the daughter of John and Helen (LaPratt) TerBush and attended Mayville High School with the class of 1963. Sharron worked for many years for the State of Michigan as a social worker. She married Keith Tedford and they had three children:  Brian, Angela (Mike) Maasch, Marvin. Also surviving are grandchildren:  Casey, Kaylee, Cooper, and Anthony; siblings:  Marie (Lefty) Hudson, Joyce Papkey, Hazel Wagner, Shirley (Raymond) Butler, Melvin (Elaida) TerBush, Raymond (Diane) TerBush, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Viola and Richard Kukulski; brother, Richard; and sister-in-law, Loretta TerBush; and brother-in-law, Norm Papkey. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, Mayville.

 


Steven Allan Seney, Vassar

Steven Allan Seney of Vassar, MI, was born October 5, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Gene and Bonnie Seney, died July 18, 2014 at Bay Shores Senior Care.  Steven graduated from Vassar High School in 1976.  He served in the Army National Guard.   He was an avid outdoorsman:  hunter, fisherman, trapper, champion morel hunter, woodworker, wood-carver; a jack of all trades.  He was always willing to help.  Steven is survived by his mother Bonnie Seney of Vassar, special friend Donna Metiva of Caro, MI.  His sisters, Sharon (Gary) Millerov of Vassar, MI, Stacey (Rev. Tim) Manwell of Elk Grove Village, IL.  His brothers, Sam (Debbie) Seney of Frankenmuth, MI; Scott (Sandy) Seney of Winona Lake, IN.   Ten nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and  -nephews.  He was predeceased  by his father.   Cremation has already taken place.  Following Steve’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. SANDRA “SANDY” L. FRAZEE, Caro

Sandy L. Frazee of Caro, age 71, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. She was born September 9, 1942 in Flint, the daughter of Hobert & Betty (Sanford) Tidball. Sandy was united in marriage with Donald Frazee on March 9, 1964 in Clio and he preceded her in death on July 5, 2003. She was employed with Caro Community Schools and was well known as the “Voice of Caro.” Sandy enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch and shopping on the internet. Left to cherish her memory are two sons and their spouses, John & Sharon Frazee of Caro, Mark & Nancy Frazee of Caro; six grandchildren, Megan, Jason, Christopher, James, Michael and Tina; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sue & Robert Houghton of Clio, Lee Ann & Steve Cleveland of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Tom & Sharon Tidball of Clio.  Sandy was preceded in death by her husband and parents. BERNARD R. LOAFMAN, Caro

Bernard R. Loafman of Caro, age 76, passed on Monday, July 21, 2014 at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw.  Bernard was born July 15, 1938 in Flint, the son of the late Archie Lee & Bertha (Goodwin) Loafman.  Following graduation from high school in Flint and service in the U.S. Army, he began his career of more than thirty-two years with General Motors, retiring in 1997.  After his retirement, Bernard was united in marriage with the former Rose Miceli on December 8, 2007 in Caro and moved to this area at that time.  During his free time, Bernard enjoyed playing cards, fishing, crossword puzzles, singing, reading his Bible and was an active member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church of Caro.  He also enjoyed being with his coffee group at McDonald’s every morning.   Bernard is survived by his wife, Rose Loafman of Caro; one daughter, Rachel & Scott of Montrose; one grandson, Chase of Montrose; three brothers, William, Curtis, and Donald Loafman; one sister, Barbara Irwin; and many nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are special friends, June Putman, Carol Norrington and Ronald & Nancy Harris.   In addition to his parents, Bernard was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.  Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michael Wester officiating. Military Honors followed the service under the auspices of the Caro American Legion Post #7 and the U.S. Army. Burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. JOHN FREDERICK TAYLOR, Caro

John Frederick Taylor of Caro, age 69, passed on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at United Hospice Residence in Marlette.  John was born July 22, 1945 in Brazil, Indiana, the son of the late William J. & Dorothy L. (Powell) Taylor.  After graduation from high school, John enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict.  John was united in marriage with the former Katherine Morgan, in Baldwin Park, California on November 26, 1966. Following his discharge from the Marines, John served with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department for twenty-five years, retiring as a Lieutenant.  John and Katherine chose to spend their retirement in Caro, and have lived here since.  He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles and the group he would ride with called the ‘Geezers’.  John is survived by his wife of over forty-seven years, Katherine Taylor of Caro; one son and his wife, David & Dawn Taylor of Oxford; two grandchildren, John and Andrea Taylor; two brothers and their wives, Don & Pat Taylor of Lapeer, Jim & Marsha Taylor of Oscoda; one sister, Kay Taylor of Pontiac; and many nieces and nephews that include Nicole and Mike Schulte and great-nephews, Dylan and Luke Schulte.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Caro United Methodist Church with Rev. MICHAEL PAUL “MIKEY” GONZALES, JR. CARO

Michael Paul Gonzales of Caro, age 18, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident. Mikey was born October 5, 1995 in Saginaw, the son of Michael & Tammy (Bigger) Gonzales and graduated from Caro High School with the class of 2014. He will be remembered for his enormous heart, love for people and animals. Mikey dreamed of being a dairy herdsman, and was employed as a milker at a local dairy farm. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America and cared deeply for his cows, sheep and pigs. Mikey was also involved in several sports throughout his life, including basketball and track in shot put and discus. His true sporting passion, however, was football, a sport he thought of constantly; and Mikey served as a captain of the varsity team during his senior year. He will be missed by countless many for his sense of humor, compassion and ability to draw family and friends together. Mikey is survived by his parents, Michael & Tammy Gonzales of Caro; five siblings, Nathan, Anthony and Brianna Gonzales, Ashley Bigger and Autumn Mayse, all at home; paternal grandmother, Doris Miners; maternal grandparents, Wallace Bigger and Bethelda Bigger; special aunt, Barbara Mayse; beloved companion, Kayla Brown; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Barney Bonifasio Gonzales; step-grandfather, Lawrence Miners; aunt, Sheila Bigger; and cousin, Lennox Bigger. TODD L. WITHERS, Millington

Todd L. Withers of Millington, age 34, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home.  He was born March 13, 1980 in Caro, the son of the late Rodney and June Marie (Carpenter) Withers.  Todd, his father, and brothers enjoyed a career building and racing cars on the dirt track circuit.  He was also a campaign employee at the Michigan Sugar Company in Sebewaing. Todd enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, and being with his children. Todd is survived by his daughter, Ayla Mae June Childs of Caro; his fiancé, Tiffany Ewing of Millington and her children, Kole and Chase; and helped raise Emily Curtis of Caro.  Other survivors include his brothers, Rodney & Monique Withers, Jr. of California, Jason Withers of Caro, Troy & Marcie Withers of Caro; one half-brother, Justin Withers of Caro; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jennet Bester of Vassar. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.  In keeping with Todd’s wishes, cremation will follow the service. JoAnna Grzemkowski, Reese

JoAnna Grzemkowski, 89, of Reese, died Friday afternoon, July 18, 2014 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. She was born December 8, 1924 in Detroit daughter of the late Albin and Stella (Grzyniewicz) Zalut. On December 5, 1944 she was married to Stanley V. Grzemkowski in Detroit. He predeceased her November 5, 1998. Mrs. Grzemkowski worked as a seamstress and caterer during her life and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese.  Surviving are her children and their spouses; Ben and Marsha Grzemkowski of Vassar; Philip and Elizabeth Grzemkowski of Reese; Stanley P. and Marilyn Grzemkowski of Fairgrove; Susan and Sam Prezzato of Mayville; Jeannie and Joe Bissonnette of Mayville; Carol and Terry Born of Allenton; and Daniel Grzemkowski of Callaway, MD; twenty-four grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Delores DeJack and her husband Ernie of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, JoAnna was predeceased by her great-grandson, Bartholomew Zaug and ten brothers and sisters.  The family wishes to express their sincerest tanks to the entire staff of the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility for their loving and compassionate care of JoAnna.  The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Reese. Father David Jenuwine will officiate with burial to follow in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery. JoAnna’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the Liturgy. A Vigil Service for JoAnna will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. William A. Harmon, age 74, passed away on Sunday July 20, 2014 with his family by his side.  William was born in Mayville, Michigan on September 24, 1939 to the late Ward and Clara (Walker) Harmon.  He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren at his camp ground that his late wife Maryellen Sue Harmon opened.  He and Maryellen were married on March 5, 1961.  Mr. Harmon is survived by his 6 children; William J. and wife Mishelle Harmon of Mayville, Jackie and husband Lowren Dow of Mayville, Garry Harmon of Bay Port, Gerry and wife Sherry Harmon of Mayville, Peggy Harmon of Mayville and Timothy Buckner of Fostoria.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Dan and Roger Harmon, 3 sisters; Pat, Judy and Gail.  He was preceded in death by his wife Maryellen, 2 brothers  James & Jackie Harmon and sister Katie Hitt.  A memorial dinner will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Saturday August 2, 2014 at Wren and Jackie Dow’s Home.  To sign online guestbook visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com.  Arrangements by Cremation Society of Mid-Michigan, 1-888-273-3553.

LeRoy Harold Beitz, age 83, of Sebewaing, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.  LeRoy was born in Unionville on April 10, 1931 to the late Clayton and Lucille (Abke) Beitz. He enjoyed being a teacher for close to 50 years. He began his career in several country schools, Sebewaing Schools and for USA Schools. He also taught drivers education. He loved farming and had a huge passion for reading. He enjoyed being outdoors, flower gardening, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motor cycle riding, cooking and playing the organ. He is also a past Lions Club member.  He is survived by his aunt, Maxine Profit of Cass City; sister in law, Edith Beitz of Hedgesville, West Virginia; step sister in law, Lee LaFave of Gagetown; cousins: Lynn (Kathie) Abke of Bad Axe and Sharon (Tom) Campbell of Port Hope and families; dearest friends: Patrick and Amy Gruehn of Owendale, Nathan (Kamryn) Gruehn and family of Sebewaing, Dustin (Brooke) Gruehn and family of Sebewaing; Godson, Jordon (Renee’) Gruehn and family of Sebewaing.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Lucille Beitz; step father, Roy LaFave; step brother, Jim LaFave, step sisters: Marge (Sherwood) Rice and Marion (William) Stanton; and uncles, Harold (Madeline) Abke and Dale Abke.  Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.  The memorial service will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing at 10:30am.  Burial of cremains will take place at Moravian Cemetery in Unionville following the funeral luncheon on Friday. Aldine E. Kline, age 77, went to be with his Savior on July 24, 2014 at his home. He was born November 1, 1936 to Raymond and Gladys Kline in St. Paul, Minnesota. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Lorna (Bernthal) and their sons, Michael (Eileen) from Tinley Park, Illinois, Douglas (Linda) from Caro and David (Jane) from Selmer, Tennessee and grandchildren, Patrick, Shannon and Meghan from Tinley Park and Pamela, Jonathan, Jubilee and Noelle from Selmer. Aldine and Lorna were married December 23, 1961 at Gethesame Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is survived by his brother Jerome (Marlene) from Red Wing, Minnesota and sister Patricia (Lyle) Boyd. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles and a sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Ron Wold and his parents. Aldine graduated from the U of MN, agriculture program. His first farm was in Jordan, MN before moving to Reese to the Bernthal farm. He was a journeyman grinder at several shops. At age 50, Aldine and Lorna joined the Peace Corps and were stationed in Nepal for 2 years. They also enjoyed square dancing and camping. Aldine was an elder and served on other church boards at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He went on servant event trips to Ysletta, Mexico, New Orleans Katrina clean-up, and West Virginia with St. Paul Youth Group, and was also involved at St. Paul’s servant events and other church committees. Aldine was a veteran of the Armed Forces. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Cameron Steele will officiate. The family will receive visitors at St. Paul Lutheran Church before the church service. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Hour, or to the donor’s choice. William (Bill) Young, Mayville

William (Bill) Young, age 80 of Mayville, MI, formerly from Clawson, MI passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center with his loving family at his side. Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Avram Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Mead officiating. The family will receive visitors 2-8 PM Wednesday, July 30,2014 at the funeral home. Internment will take place at the North Grove Cemetery. With military honors conducted by Mayville/Vassar VFW 10884 and Mayville American Legion Post #181. Suggested memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund. William was born on August 11, 1933 to Guy and Clara Young in Morgantown West Virginia. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and he was honorably discharged in 1953. William married Patricia Johnson on July 20, 1957 in Mt. Clemens, MI. He retired from Chrysler Motors in 1989. William loved hunting, fishing and camping. William is survived by his wife: Patricia of Mayville, two daughters: Vicki (Randy) Poole of Silverwood, Kim (Ron) Lafferty of Maidstone, ONT, one brother: David Young of Manchester, TN, three sisters: Patricia Hilling of Morgantown, WV, Louise (Don) Nicholson of Manchester, TN, Judy Young of Manchester, TN, four grandchildren: Scott, Brad, Brent and Cherie, one great grandchild: Molly and many friends, nieces and nephews he was also a caring father figure to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Daniel in 2009 and three brothers: Kenneth, Donald and Wesley.
