Mrs. Violetta K. (Dean) Ohman of Vassar MI formerly of Millington, passed away late Thursday evening November 7, 2013 while at the Frankenmuth Tender Care Nursing Home in Frankenmuth, Violetta was 101 years old.
Born in Cadillac Michigan on March 10, 1912 Violetta was the daughter of Charles & Mildred (Harwood) Dean. In 1928 she married her late husband of 59 years Mr. Gustva Ohman, Gustva has preceded her in death in May of 1987. Violetta is also preceded by her parents, and several siblings.
Violetta leaves her family, her children; Dolores Torrey, Joyce Greenfield, Barbara Jenkins, Alfred Ohman, Birger & Margaret Ohman, Rachel & Harold Dolliver, and Michele & Kelly Torrey, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She leaves also two sisters, Ruth, and Della, several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Service will be held on Tuesday November 12, 2012 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am up until the services begin. Funeral services for Violetta will be at the Hanlin Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. With the burial to follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery in Millington. Pastor Terry Blackmer will deliver the eulogy, funeral message and the closing prayers at the cemetery. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Ohman family with the arrangements.
