John Arthur Petiprin, 50, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, November 15, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 16, 1964 in Caro, son of Alfred and Kay (Conway) Petiprin. John had been a resident of the Caro area while growing up and had also lived in the Chesaning area before moving to Paragould, where he was employed with the Monroe Shock Company. He attended and graduated from the Akron Fairgrove School in 1983. John truly loved his family and had enjoyed hunting, playing chess and dart’s; but his passion was for his track and field. He was an avid track and field player and later was an assistant track coach for several years, helping his teams in numerous award winning events throughout his coaching career. Surviving is one daughter, Melody House; grandson, Blayden House; longtime friend, Lena Keipinger all of Paragould; parents, Alfred and Kay Petiprin of Caro; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Mark and Lynne Petiprin, Anne and Matt Foley, Rita and Jim Hepfer all of Caro, Joan and Darryl McCloy of Akron, Susan and Gene Ellison of Reese, Sarah and Dean Szagesh, Leah and Doug Dinsmore all of Vassar and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. John was predeceased by a son-in-law, Allen House; grandparents, Martin and Mary Petiprin, Leon and Marion Conway and an infant still-born brother, Thomas. Funeral services will take place at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014 from the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould with burial in the New Friendship Cemetery.
