Clifford D. Adlam, age 80, of Unionville, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home. He was born February 5, 1934 in Unionville to the late Milton and Marie (Kruse) Adlam. He served in the U.S Army spending 2 years in the Korean Conflict. He married Carolyn Winarski on August 15, 1953 at the Moravian Church in Unionville. Cliff was a volunteer fireman in Unionville for 28 years. He was self-employed working 27 years with Milton Adlam Speedway and 32+ years for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Unionville American Legion Post #421 and St. Paul Lutheran Church. Cliff enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, going to casinos, and spending winters in Florida. He enjoyed family times at their cabin up north, camping, playing for 50+ years in a local card club and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children: Michael Adlam, DeAnn DeLisle and Shelly (Donald) Sakon; grandchildren: Jennifer (Tim) Mast, Greg (Celeste) DeLisle, Nicholas (Heather) Sakon, Matthew (fiancé Hayley Putnam) Sakon, Brooks Adlam and Matthew Adlam, 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Janet) Adlam, sisters-in-law: Dee (Bob) Bohn and Shirley (Roland) Houthoofd; and loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Theron (Joyce) Adlam. Visitation was Friday, July 18, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home from 2-8pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
